It is always good to be involved in a team. The team work of a person begins from childhood when they started to play games. Every game cannot be played individually and every work cannot be done individually. There arises a need for the team. The team mostly consists of different characters or personalities as there is a changes observed in various fingers in our hand. Each fingers are used to different purposes, but without the involvement of all the fingers, the hand cannot perform a greater task.
There arises a similar scenario with the team members whom are grouped together to complete a common objective or a task. It does not stop with that, there needs to be a proper understanding and cooperation between the team members. There are a lot of people who are complaining with the team members they have got, it happens and everyone cannot get the best teammates and similar kind of thinking. If you get them, then you are lucky enough. But, if you don't get we need not always complain them and we can play supporting role to them which causes improvement in overall performance of that team.
But, it is not happening in most of the cases, as the jealousy plays a major role in removing such a circumstance. What if that person becomes better than me. Nobody can be blamed for that, the need for survival makes them selfish rather than being selfless. It is a bitter truth but it takes greater courage to accept it. There are very few who perform this intentionally, in spite of knowing that their selfishness might impact the whole system in a bad manner, still they won't be ready to sacrifice it for their team.
A lot more can be said about the teamwork. Yes, I agree that a lot of good things have happened with teamwork. But, a lot of talents have never been recognition but have been criticized. Even if we didn't get a proper team, the leaderial effect can influence them and make them into a stronger team. In certain cases, team might be great but there might be certain lag with leader, which can also be adjusted and brought into good condition. It is just a formal description that teamwork is important provided that we are strong enough individually, without being a good individual we cannot be a good team player.
