This is a post about a great actor, person and an inspiration for many people. This is a post dedicated to him on his birthday. A person who failed miserably in earlier part of his career and came back strongly with his scintillating performances in the later part of his career and won greater accolades for his performance. The main lesson which i learnt from him was to go to a maximum extent that is possible to persuade his passion. Whatever obstacles may come in his path, just throw them away and cross those obstacles and move forward. Even in the worst of the possible conditions, give your best.
I did not watch different movies till 1999. I would like movies which had songs, fight and happy ending. First time, I watched a movie which had sad ending was Vikram sir's "Sethu". Though, i did not like the climax, the acting was awesome. I became his fan after watching that movie. I did not know that, he acted many movies before. Then came another performance oriented movie "Kasi", in which he played the role of a guy who doesn't have visibility of eyes. The same character of blind guy was essayed by him in a movie called "Thaandavam" in which the character played by him lost eyes in a bomb blast. Both these had similar roles, but both were entirely different, such is the variations that he can bring in his acting.
In 2003, he took commercial route and gave commercial success movies like "Dhil","Dhool" and "Saamy". He received national award for the film "Pithamagan" for portraying the role of a person working in graveyard in village. He always looked for different role which was not essayed by most of the actors and succeeded in performing them with utmost ease. There are many more great performances of him, which many people might be knowing. Through social media, I came to know about his charity. He is such an humble person, who doesn't want to reveal these charities in public.
This made me believe that he is not only a great actor but also a wonderful human being. One day, I wanted to know more about his past before Sethu. It was mind blowing. The number of failures he came across, the number of opportunities that evaded him, then the number of surgeries that he had undergone. The more he was criticized, he came up and up and reached a greater height. He stills wants to get better day by day. I wish a happy Birthday to Dr. Chiyaan Vikram who is completing 51 years on 17.04.2017. Age is just a number for him, his performances are getting better day by day. Expecting a lot more from him every time. Thanks for the wonderful performances that he has given so far.
