Entertainment is an industry that is a bit profitable when compared to other industries. But, sustaining in that industry is a nightmare. Many have appeared as a part of this industry and are now nowhere to be found. Already there is a complaint from the audiences that, the ticket rates are higher, so we are not able to go to theaters and watch movies. Instead they wait for the upload of movies on internet and download them and watch it or else they might wait for the movie to be telecasted on television. I have heard from a lot of people, those people had the habit of watching movie weekly once for sure. But, after hearing the news of increasing in the rate of tickets due to GST, they have decided to quit watching movies in Theaters.
The number of audiences to the theater will reduce drastically. Many people are angry, in the early 2000's, the audience were allowed to watch movies in theater and they can bring the snacks and other eatables to theaters. But, that resulted in the dull businesses of the canteens and various stalls present in the theaters. So, they started to look out for an alternative to make audience buy the foods and various items from these stalls. They started to put the rule of not allowing snacks from outside. Even, if they need water they need to buy inside the stalls present in the theater. Very few theaters are allowing audience to bring food from outside.
The families that doesn't depend upon the budgets never bother about this. But, there are certain families who would depend on their budget, won't like this being implemented. so, they decide to buy tickets and not only theater. There is a minimum budget of 500 needed for a family of 3 people to watch movies now a days. The tickets will sum upto 360 and the snacks and beverages of minimum 140. Incase if the GST is being implemented, the ticket prices might increase by 100 per family of 3. It not only does that, it makes your snacks and other beverages prices also to become higher. Already the importance given to these celebrities and their movies are reducing day by day, if this GST is not removed and the tickets prices are not reduced, then the entertainment industry will end up as end to tainment.
