It is always difficult to choose between the two, if they are many choices at least we can somehow eliminate one by one and get the result. If there are only two choices, it will be very difficult, both may be very close to right. Similar situation is to decide between the past period of our life and future period of our life. We can say an easy word that people should be worried about the present and should not mind about the past or future. But, we must understand something that past is like a investment, if there is a good investment in the past, there would be good returns in the present which can be reserved for future as well.
But, there may be conditions to be applied on each and every other case. The future calculations can be made with the help of probability studies. But, there are cases in which past might have been good and present might have gone wrong and future still worse. There are a number of probabilities for each. Now, let us get into this topic. This is like let us take a child's career. A child will be happy at the maximum till 12 or 13 years. After that, it is pressurized to get more marks and they are treated like horses in races. If the horses,don't win the race, they are ill-treated, the same is with the students.
In certain scenario they are being told that, if we struggle and put effort in schooling, we can enjoy in college. So, student changes his mind and works hard to get good scores in school final exams. The student would be longing to go to college to enjoy, but the enjoyment of college mostly happens in arts college, not in a professional one. There would be a lot of restrictions imposed. He would feel that school was better. The same situation occurs when the student is in college, student would be asked to work hard to get god job, again losing enjoyment. After reaching a certain stage, the person might realise that previous stage was better.
Though a person might be financially satisfied with the position they get from society, do they have real happiness. They would have an inner feeling that previous part of their life is happy. As the person moves on they would feel that past was better in terms of peace of mind which is more important than the financial position they are at present. So, in the world of confusion, I would like my friends to decide whether past or future is better, the conclusion is on your hands as am unable to decide.
