Sequel of movies was the normal thing in Hollywood movies, which boomed up in the Bollywood, Kollywood and all the Indian Film Industries. Most of the movies, that has a sequel In Kollywood is not becoming hit except a few. There are a various factors, that are to be considered to find out the reasons for failures of those movies in Kollywood. There are certain movies in which the title would be that of the previous hit movies, but the story is not at all related to the previous one. Those are not considered as sequel. The movies in which the Title is same as the prequel and continuity of story is present are the movies considered here.
If a movie gets accepted, then they wanted to make money out of the same concepts and elements. A lack of creativity is present among these people. They never bother about the pulse of audience, audience are expecting a lot of Creative and commercial movies. The sequel movies are following certain Cliches. The Expectation level of the sequels are so high, they are not getting fulfilled, that might be another reason. Too much of marketing the movies, which creates a lot of expectations and they flatter. It is not necessary, that the same combination works out every-time, certain crew may be modified.
Another important factor in the time in which the movie is being released. If the movie is getting released off-season, then they might flatter again. Of Course, commercial elements are necessary but they need not be too much. Unwanted stunt sequences are entertaining and provides tougher employment, but now-a-days audience are not liking it. Certain movies are not brief enough to convey the messages and are dragging like a big tail. So, these are some of the reasons for failure of the sequel movies. May be some of these above mentioned might have worked in favour of the sequel movies that have become hit.
