Eating habits varies according to the tastes and likings of a person. There are certain categories called as vegeterian and non vegeterian. Beef is one of the famous food for non vegeterian. Though, I am a non vegeterian I never eat beefs. But, I am stating that Beef Ban is not the right thing to do. There are a lot of people who depend on these beefs for earning income. The people who sell the cow. The people who collect these cows and then sell it to the local vendors. The local non veg stall owners who cut these slaughter cows into pieces and then sell it to the customers or hotels. The hotels or restaurents that make these Beefs into tasty dishes.
There is a tag called as Anti-Indian, if something is spoken against the ruling party, they call it as Anti-indian. A good government should accept the reviews given on them and be ready to face the consequences rather than complaining people or accusing them as Anti-indian. I am telling this because, they might accuse me also as anti indian. If these slaughter cows are not sold by their owners, the government might acquire them for the leather business and sell it to foreign companies for cheaper rates and then again get some commission for filling up their pockets. Not even a single genuine reason is given for banning the beefs in India.
They used to comment that cows are sacred, so is it correct to use these sacred creatures for making leather goods? No Vedas or Upanishads are claiming cows to be sacred. Again the non vegeterians are doing good to the environment. These leather extraction and process of making leather goods, definitely involve some kind of threat to environment, some kind of pollution, but the consumption of these cows as food, definitely would not cause any threat to environment. There is a definite politics involved in this ban. Instead of banning the beef industry, there are a lot more industries that are affecting the lives of normal human beings, which can be banned. The importance given to animals is not given to common man.
